If i use this Composite Video RCA to USB Digital Converter plus Digital Video Recording Software for Home PC Video Applications with my hitachi dz-mv730a . cause i can use mini dvdram but my pc will not read them or my dvd player will not play it too. so with this i think it will work. play the camcorder though my pc for saving on hard drive.

Decoded with my magic decoder ring:

I have a Hitachi dz-mv730a (either a DVD recorder or DVD Cam, the magic decoder ring is not sure which). and I record to DVD RAM discs. The trouble is that my DVD Drive in my computer can't read these discs. If I use the RCA out and attach to a USB converter will this work?

Yes that will work, what your going to find though is that the quality of the original material is going to be reduced. Probably by quite a bit. Not too famialr with DVD Ram but from what I know you need a DVD Drive that can Read them...
