    Hi,
    Anyone can tell me the recording bit rates (in video mode) for MN 20, MN 16, and
    MN 15?
    Presently, I use a Sharp DVD recorder that records at 3.5 bits/sec. in SP extended (2 to 3 hours).

    If there is a substantial difference, I will consider buying the DVR-533 HS.
    I must know the different recording bit rates for the above before I make the purchase.

    MN15=3.47 MBs
    MN16=3.67 MBs
    MN20=4.80 MBs

    Pioneer 531H

    MN15 3.37 Mbs 3 hours, 0 minutes
    MN16 3.57 Mbs 2 hours, 50 minutes
    MN20 4.67 Mbs 2 hours, 10 minutes
    MN21 5.06 Mbs 2 hours, 0 minutes

    The 531H is full D1 out to 3 hours, 30 minutes ( MN12)
