  1. I keep getting unsolicited emails from companies who sell programs that apparently allow you to burn DVDs using a CD-Writer. I'm not sure whether this means that you can use DVD-Rs in the CD Writer or if it converts DVD onto CD.

They only cost about $40, but I am wary of buying something that I heard about through junkmail.

Has anyone tried these programs before, and if so, are they worth getting? How do they compare to the ripping technique described on this site?

  4. If it is to convert a DVD to SVCD (which uses CD normal media) you should try DVD2SVCD ( http://212.88.77.140/ ).
It is an incredible piece of soft.
The other way (recording DVDs on a CD-RW) itīs obviously imposible.
