I think that my next player should really have a USB port. A LOT of what I do is to download a TV show or two, burn them to a rewritable disc, and put that in the player.
When I did a search for "USB" on this forum, most people were talking about hooking up external disk drives. I was thinking more along the lines of using a thumb drive. I'd copy the 200-400 Mb .avi file to the thumb drive, plug it into the player and watch it. Is this possible with any of the existing players?

I believe the Buffalo or the AVEL player support this, I can't remember which. They both multipurpose, networkable media players.
