Hey Gang,

Wierd Problem happening...I run a G4 (dual 1.0Ghz, OSX 10.3.9), and am using ffmpeg version 0.0.9u...

I was converting some avi files to Video_TS folders...

The avi files are PAL encoded and I am converting to NTSC...

The first conversion went through without a hitch:
VIDEO: ffmpeg codec, NTSC film rate, 1 Disc 4GB, and clicked 'Best' for ffmpeg to figure the bitrate).
AUDIO: AC3 codec (encode box checked), 128 Kb/s, 48000 Hz (converting from MP3, 128 Kb/s, 44100 Hz).
FILTERS: De-Interlace box checked
OPTIONS: Hi-Quality, 4 Motion Vectors, 2 Pass Encoding, Trellis Quantization, Quarter pixel ME...Profile=DVD, Keyframe= 15

I set it to author as DVD (VIDEO_TS)...
I Manually Letterboxed (original PAL resolution 608x256) to achieve
the NTSC resolution of 720x480.

Everthing went great...my 700MB avi was beautifully converted into a 1.2GB VIDEO_TS folder, which I burned to disc using POPCORN...The disc played great with no video problems and no audio problems (When I tried this conversion using versions (s & t) I got sync-up problems)...Life WAS good, the sun shined, birds sang, then...I tried to convert the second of my avi's...

I used the same settings as I listed above...this time however there was no sunshine, no birds, nothing but a very strange audio track...

The sync (as far as I can tell) is in line with the video, only it sounds like someone is holding the speaker underwater and swishing it around...if I crank my TV I can kinda make out the actual soundtrack (through the waves...LOL )...

Let me say that the resulting VIDEO_TS folder plays normally if opened with Apple DVD player, and VLC Player...BUT, when I burn the folder to DVD (again using POPCORN), the sound goes Ape@#$%

If anyone has any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate them...
(I am going to re-try the conversion this time using MENCODER codec this evening to see what happens)...

Thanks All,
