  1. Hey all,

I noticed something interesting that I have never seen before. I recently made a slideshow in 4:3 format - The output file is .mpeg. Now, it plays flawlessly on PowerDVD, VARO, and any other program I play it in. However, If i play it back in Win. Med. Play., it's streched horizontally. Anyone know why? I didn't see any useful config. settings to be changes in the media player itself....

    Thanks,

    Matt

  2. I believe it is a known fault with media player/directshow. It can't play some mpeg streams and resolutions in the correct screen ratio. Have you upgraded it? The last versions of 9 were good and v10 is out now but I have not tried it. The re-issued media player classic is the best version of ms player I've found.

VLC media player might be worth you getting as it excellent and you don't have the same codec issues either. Gspot might tell us if anything is up with your slideshow video - try that. Bitrate viewer may assist as well. I doubt there is a real problem though.
