  1. I am trying to find a program that will convert avi ( divx Xvid ) files to DVD so that most home DVD players will recognise the file & play it.
There are so many tools out there but have not found a successful one yet. I prefer to burn files to DVD-R.
    Can someone please HELP !!!!

    Thanks,

    MLOR

If DivxToDVD doesn't work for you, it may be that the AVI is totally non-standard (have you tried any other AVI's?) or your PC is pooched in some manner.

Did your PC come with SP2 installed? If not, stop after SP1. I've encountered a number of older PCs that have had this issue. In fact, some of them stopped running anything after SP2 was installed!

What is your source ? (use g-spot 2.52 beta and post a screen shot, please)

What problems have you encountered along the way ?

What guides, if any, have you read ?

Does it have to be a one-click-wonder, or are you happy to learn the proper way ?

AVI2DVD worked pretty good for me. I had some AVI files with VBR MP3 audio and this kept them in sync. Also the AVI's were originally in PAL format and it converted them to NTSC for me with no problems. You might want to give this one a shot.
