How much has DV changed since 1999? Enough to make this book not worthwhile?

For $1.88 you may get some overview but that book is mostly about Adobe products back in the day.Originally Posted by Dr.Gee
You can do much better online. Depending on what you want to know, try some of these links.

We can answer any specific issues. Are you talking about DV format or digital video in general?
DV format is in the same general family of SD formats (collectively ITU-Rec-601) that includes uncompressed SMPTE-259M C/D (professional video distribution), DVD MPeg2, Digital Betacam, DVCPro, and SD ATSC digital broadcasting.
These have been extended to the higher resolution ATSC HDTV broadcast formata and the HDV camcorder format. Another derivative is the higher compressed MPeg4 family of formats.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

You won't get far in this field with a single book. The bulk of the info is only available online and wiki is getting to be the best single overview site.
