I am having trouble with converting mini-dv to dvd mpegs.
Everytime I do it, there is no sound on the mpeg file. I have tried outputting to two seperate files (m2v+mp2) but still no luck.
The program that I am using to convert to dvd is tmpgenc.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this problem sorted?

Hi daveeed,
So, in short, it seems that you can't play MP2 audio. Strange... Have you checked the MP2 codec is installed, and isn't reported as being disfunctional?
I encode DV AVI to MPEG2 for DVD using TMPGenc and have no issues - so it's definitely possible. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Nicely done. And thanks for posting the solution - it may help others.
