wmv 2 vcd -- Help !!

Hello all

I have some movies in WMV Format.. I need to convert them to VCD Format so that it can b viewd usin my VCD Player..

Normally i use to convert other formats like AVI to VCD usin VirtualDUB and TMPGEnc..

But when i am unable 2 use VirtualDUB to rip the audio frm WMV Videos..

I searched in our forum and found VirtualDUB 1.3c to rip WMV Audios..

But this version too didnt work..

So need some help in doing the conversion..

tried to open the wmv directly with tmpgenc and convert? it may work fine.

TMPGenc 3.0 Xpress can make that conversion.
If you want to use VirtualDub you need to use Avisynth.
Just read the tutorial in the Avisynth site and create the script to read you file.
Then open the script with Virtual dub or TMPGenc freeware and proceed as if it were a normal AVI conversion.

Xp comes with movie maker ...

Import clip , build clips on timeline , no more than 3 minutes worth at a time .

Export , change export to Dv-avi , and go .

You may need to use a dv converter to convert your dv to dv2 format .

Use any program to convert it to vcd , super , media coder , virtualdub (frameserved to bbmpeg)

Just watch out for framerate's though ...

Note : For those sharing such things , backup your license's in media player , and add both this license bckup and the wmv's to the cd/dvd media .

Otherwise your friend may not beable to watch it ... dosent have required license .

Virtualdub-mpeg from fcchandler offers some wmv support. However if the video has DRM, you may not be able to convert it.
