  1. first of all im new at this stuff.I converted avi to mpeg with panasonic encoder 2.1. I dont know if I had to change any settings so I left it alone. It also took me about 5 hr. to do. Then I used easy cd creater 5 to burn at 1x speed. Everything worked great. When I played it on my GE home dvd and on my 52 inch big screen, it dont look as good and sharp as it does when I play it on my media player.WHY? Then, my sound dont play when it should. It has about 10 second delay. Should I try using a diff convertor and burning solfware, or just change my settings. Should I make the screen smaller to.help me please! thanks every body. This is a vcd. Should i make a svcd. How??????????

Try tmpgenc 2.5 at http://www.tmpgenc.com it is real nice. Ther are two things to remimber.

    1. your output will never be as good as your source.
    2. you are watching it on a huge tv that will stretch it ot beyond belief allowing it to show its macroblocks alot better.

  3. Using TMPGEnc encode the video using highest quality, it should help with the sound and picture but will take a longlonglong time. So leave it on overnight or something.
