Hello,
I am trying to transfer my MPEG-1 movies to DVD using Nero 6.0, but the audio is distorted on the DVD (it sounds slow).
The movies were created with my Sony camera (MPEGmovieVX).
AVIcodec 1.1.0.4 and Gspot v2.52 beta01 give the same info:
(Video : 464 MB, 10443 Kbps, 30.0 fps, 640*480 (4:3), MPG1 = MPEG 1 (VCD), Supported) and
(Audio : 2.86 MB, 64 Kbps, 32000 Hz, 1 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported).
The files on the PC play fine on Windows Media Player (and Classic). It's only on the burned DVD that the audio is distorted.
I am suspecting that I have to convert the Audio from 32kHz to 44.1kHz, but I'm not sure if that's right, and I'm not sure how to do it.
Thanks in advance for help,
Kenton

You have to convert the audio to 48khz to make a dvd. 44.1khz is for standard vcd.
A program like tmpgenc dvd author will import your video and convert just the audio to dvd spec. It will leave the video and alone.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Thanks, I got it working. I tried this before but with your advice I stuck with it and played with the settings some. It turns out in MPEG Setting/Audio I need 48/44.1kHz, stereo, 192 kbps. Before I'd tried mono, and 96 kpbs and Nero didn't like that either, so I gave up.
I'm over my biggest hurdle, and I'm 90% happy, thank you very much!
However, now the next problem crops up: I can't get it to leave the video alone in batch mode. Manually, I can split the streams, make a batch list project to work on the ES audio stream only, and multiplex. But I can't do the demultiplex/multiplex manually on 100 or more videos! There's gotta be an easier way?
Thanks,
Kenton
