    Hi,
    I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo pc with a 8x dvd-writer.
    Was working fine at 8x using tdk 8x discs.
    My new batch of discs is rated at 16x however, and the burner
    has reverted to 4x and won't burn any faster.
    Has anyone else had the same problem, and would a firmware upgrade fix it ?

    I believe the drive to be a LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA_4160B
