    I'm trying to figure out if the card is any good (I'm probably going to use Nero to capture and burn DVDs if the Pinnacle studio sucks). I'm going to use it for VHS/TV capture (using the output from my DirectTv box).

    Is the card a good capture device?

    Most Pinnacle cards use proprietary drivers that are tied to their software. Research this before you buy.
