  1. when i play this movie it has a very narrow screen I think its called wide screen maybe, but its way too narrow is there a way to alter the height of it please

    play on your computer? or standalone dvd player? what is the video format? avi,dvd,etc?

    you can use mpc and zoom it or set custom aspect ratio.

  3. at the moment its in mpeg format and I am converting to vob files to play on home dvd player

    What is the resolution of the file - g-spot (latest beta) can tell you the details.

    If it is compliant, and in widescreen letterbox (as it sounds) then you have two choices;

    1. Leave it as is, because that's the way it's meant to be.

    2. Crop the hell out of it, resize it to compliant resolution (but now it's soft and fuzzy), and reencode so it fills the screen.

    I've never heard "narrow" and "widescreen" used in the same sentence when talking about the same thing .... since they're entirely and exactly complete opposites !

    The only possibility is if the OP means narrow as in top to bottom. I'm gonna go with half D1 being played in WMP, which doesn't do the resize on the fly AFAIK. At the end of the day though, GSpot will tell us everything.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I have known people to describe the hieght as being too narrow on widescreen movies - just a different interpretation.

    that version of g-spot can't read mpegs. download the latest beta version and try again.
