For a project I'm wanting to work on, I have some TV shows that I've captured. The files are already in MPEG-2 (multiplexed) and will be edited down. The TV show that I'm doing tends to have multiple story lines running through the show. So what I thought might be neat is to offer the viewer of the DVD some viewing options: The main track which plays all chapters, or offer a separate path for each separate plot point.
Example: Ten chapters in the show.
Main: 1->2....9->10
Sub#1: 1->4->5->8
Sub#2: 2->3->9
Sub#3: 6->7->10
I think this is called "DVD branching" -- I do know it can be done (IIRC, the Terminator 2 SE DVD did this). I feel fairly certain Apple's DVD Studio Pro will do this, but I don't want to spend $500 on a DVD authoring solution for a hobby. Are there any other DVD authoring applications for Mac that can do this?
