  1. Is there anyway to burn a cinemanow .asf to DVD movie format via conversion, not real-time record and copy?

Currently I can achieve this by playing a cinemanow .asf from my PC in Theatre mode on Real Player and recording it to my DV Camcorder using video out on my PC, then capturing back the recorded tape to my PC and then continuing from there...there has to be better way.

The cinemanow files are license encoded, which means that all of the multiple .asf conversion or importing software that I have tried will not accept them....

    Any tips?

    Hi grityyz,

I went to the "Tools" section and typed "asf" in to the search field. It returned a fair few hits, a number of which deal with asf streaming media.

    Boilsoft ASF Converter sounds promising...

One that doesn't come up that may be of use is Streambox VCR Suite.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Virtualdub 1.3c is another option which may work. You could then frameserve to TMGEnc.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I just recently got Cinemanow and the files are copyright protected wmv file ... does anyone know how to remove this so that I can burn it to a dvd? The video was provided free but take up hard drive space. I'd also like to watch it on another computer. Any suggestions? I can actually copy the file to a removable flash drive but don't have anything larger than 256mb.

Cinemanow rents movies so what your asking is the same as asking for help with a rented movie and therefore against forum rules.
