    When original firmare is loaded (BY01) I just turn power switch ON on the back of the unit and computer is recognizing the drive.
    After upgrading to new firmware (I tried them all BY02-BYX5) computer will not recognize the drive.
    The only way I can make this to work is to boot computer when power to the drive is ON, or unplug and plug back firewire cable.
    Is anybody else having this problem?

    Once your drive is recognised, try going into device manager and uninstall your DVD, SBP2 1394 and firewire 1394 controller.

    Unplug your DVD and reboot your machine.

    After windows detected your firewire card plug your CD.
