  1. I have been looking at a few guids for doing this.
And capturing from hy dicital camcorder gives an interlaced AVI, so it has loads of horizontal lines. If i want to write it to a DVD Video, do i need to de interlace it somehow?
The guides don't say anyting about it, but i don't what my finished DVD all liney!

  2. You donīt necessarily have to deinterlace it, and doing so wonīt have much effect in the "lineyness" you are trying to avoid, as it has to do with several things, among others video horizontal resolution, etc...

You shouldn't de-interlace. The lines you see while editing on your computer do not appear when viewed on TV. De-intelacing usually makes it look worse.
