    Can a DVD-recorder (Pioneer 520H) be used as a passthrough from a VCR to a computer (firewire)?

    What settings do I have to make in the 520H?

    There is no live passthrough. The incoming video must first be recorded to the HDD or to a DVD. The Pioneer 520 then can export from the HDD or DVD via Firewire to a computer. I do this with my Mac but I don't know how it works with PCs.
