I have a Sony Dru500a DVD burner. I play all of my burned movies in that drive using Cyberlink PowerDVD. The problem is that all of my DVDs display nothing but a black screen and the audio stutters horribly. If I keep the disc in there and use MPC to play then it works just fine. If I use a different DVD drive to play the same disc with PowerDVD then it works fine as well.
I have been stuck with this problem for over a year now and I am willing to do anything to my Sony drive to make it work with Cyberlink PowerDVD. I am hoping that installing different firmwares will make it work.
Can anyone give me ideas as to what firmwares I can use to get my drive working again?

The latest firmware for your drive is version 2.1a. You can get it from here: http://tdb.rpc1.org/#DRU500A
I do not think this is a firmware related problem, it looks like related to software. Also it could be related to region in your drive.
