I just brought home from costco LVW-5115GHC+, but at home i saw it does not have S-video output.

My sharp TV has s-video or RCA analog composite inputs (other than RF ofcourse). so i will be loosing the picture quality s-video has over composite.

I noticed that LVW5005x has S-video output. but records in DVD+VR instead of DVD-Video.

other difference is LVW-5115GHC+ plays something called DivX, i am not sure how that will help me as of now.

I assume both have digital audio 5.1 output so that my home theater will continue to work as before.
(LVW-5115GHC+ does not have fiber optic output, but it does have co-axial output)

I am leaning towards LVW-5005x. but many websites talk about "lvw-5005 stopping problem". do anyone know 5005x has solved that issue.

So what does forum members think i should do. as of now my main requirement is to make DVD from my camcorder recording of my baby and send it to my parents for them to watch. they have pretty decent Aiwa DVD player.

keep back LVW-5115GHC+ or return it back and buy LVW-5005x.

Thank you
