I recently downloaded a few avi. video clips then converted them to DVD and burned them onto a single 4.7 GB disc with no problem at all. They playback fine, but I did notice that when I use the remote control (either on my PC or my stand alone DVD player) to skip to the next clip with just a single click the disc skips to a later point on the same clip that I was watching rather than ahead to the next clip. I did not put a menu or any chapters on the disc manually, so I don't know why these "subchapters" (for lack of a better term) are on the disc. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It appears that your authoring program has put chapters in for you. You don't say how you created the DVD, so I can't offer you any other explanation at this time. Adding seperate clips does not create chapters in most software, but creates seperate titles. Unless the software inserts chapters at the correct place (or joins the clips into a single title with chapters at the start of each clip), using the Next button won't skip title to title, just to the next chapter.

If you want a better explanation, or some semblence of a solution, how about giving us a blow by blow of how you actually created the DVD - conversion software, authoring software, steps etc.
