folks, I am trying to find a nice convenient way to repurpose a bunch of CD+G discs that I have. I would ideally like to convert them to VCD quality files (which is all they are anyway) and put about 8 hours worth of them on DVDs (1/4 D1 format) Anyone have any clue what software out there will let me pop in a CD+G (Karaoke) disc and end up with one or more AVI or MPG files? I saw power CDG to AVI, but it only works with .cdg file or .bin files of each track, and I think that this is cdrwin output, but I am not sure if that is the format they mean.
Any help greatly appreciated

i would hook up the kareoke (or however you spell it) to a standalone dvd recorder and record in the lowest quality mode..
once you've got 6 hours worth of material recorded, take it to your computer, splice it how you like it, make some menu's & chapters, author to dvd files & burn. -
I thought about that... I still want them to look as close to the original quality as possible. They are bad enough as it is, don't want to loose more. There has to be an easy way... anyone know how to rip the discs to .cdg files ?

To rip CD+G disc to HD: CDRWin.
To go from CDG/Bin files to MPEG/VCD: CDG2AVI or CDG2VCD http://www.untiedknot.co.uk/cdg2avi/
