    Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could give me a hint here.

I am trying to rip disc 2 of Pearl Harbor.

Smartripper seems to run into a problem on vts_6_2.vob. I get maybe 8 or 10% in to that Vob and it drops down to .08 rip speed and starts getting bad blocks and essentially hangs up there.

I have searched the forum and tried several ideas such as going into the chapter selection and playing part of the movie from there before ripping. I have tried file copying it. movie mode copy. copying each Vob individually.

Nothing works! It always runs into trouble. Disc 1 worked fine. Disc 2's making of ripped fine but I can't get the movie.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I had the same problem and i have a pretty good DVD drive. Its a Pioneer. But it received the same bad blocks. A friend of mine did get it to work. I have used Decryptor before but it hangs at 99% and wont go any further. I think it is retarded. =)

I used claddvd on disk 2 and although I had to select the right vob, which I think was 6, the audio claddvd selected was the right track, ripped and encoded fine, no probs.

  5. I can't understand why anybody would want to copy this movie. It is terrible. One of the papers reviewing it, giving it half a star, which I agree with, said "the action during Pearl harbour gets in the way of the main event, the love triangle. By the time I had fast forwarded it ,there wasn't much left

  7. I could get no sound from disc 2 with smartripper but clad 2.0 worked fine. Had to pick the correct track like the other guy said and yes it's #6. I think the problem comes because the special features section are from old TV shows and the audio is in a different format. ..... Merry Christmas!!!

  9. I dont think it was that bad of a movie, being that it is based on a true story. It is different. So tell me something...if everyone else cut off both of there nuts, because they said it would help not knock up woman, would you go do it because the reviews were good? Well i hope not because that would only make you an idiot, and a follower. Be a leader and make your own decisions and opinions on something instead of believing in someone else. A movie is only as good as the person watching it wants it to be.

  10. Besides the fact the movie was idiotic (making my own opinion) and too long to suffer, the problem ripping disc 2 is not the problem actually, the Extra track is longer then the movie track, you need to change the default selection of the ripper.
