  1. Hey guys,

I just got a 100 pack of the MIT fuji +r's. They are a prodisc r05 code. Cant find much info about that media code though. Not thrilled that I didnt get the TY's but they didnt have any.

So I have a NEC1300a and it would burn my other TDKs at 4x (fastest rated speed). These new Fuji's are rated 1-16x but my burner only recognizes them as 2.4x. ARGH!! I have the 1.08 bitsetting firmware. Is there a newer firmware I need to try to at least get back to 4x burn?

    Thanks!

PRODISCR05 is a very new media code. The 1300A doesn't have a write strategy for them and it's highly unlikely it ever will have one since it's a very old drive and firmware development for it has probably been halted.

  4. Ahh you were right. Power calibration error. Probably bc it doesn tknow the write strategy as you suggested. Good thing I ordered a NEC 3550 the other day I guess. Hopefully that can write the Prodisc R05 at 16x.

I'd burn these at 8x for now.
