Hey guys,
I just got a 100 pack of the MIT fuji +r's. They are a prodisc r05 code. Cant find much info about that media code though. Not thrilled that I didnt get the TY's but they didnt have any.
So I have a NEC1300a and it would burn my other TDKs at 4x (fastest rated speed). These new Fuji's are rated 1-16x but my burner only recognizes them as 2.4x. ARGH!! I have the 1.08 bitsetting firmware. Is there a newer firmware I need to try to at least get back to 4x burn?
Thanks!

PRODISCR05 is a very new media code. The 1300A doesn't have a write strategy for them and it's highly unlikely it ever will have one since it's a very old drive and firmware development for it has probably been halted.

I just downloaded the 1.0c firmware and its back to 4x again. When i posted I didnt realize that there was a new firmware than 1.8v2
Thanks! -
Ahh you were right. Power calibration error. Probably bc it doesn tknow the write strategy as you suggested. Good thing I ordered a NEC 3550 the other day I guess. Hopefully that can write the Prodisc R05 at 16x.
