I don't blame them, I'd be pissed too, could you imagine having to wait in line to get to your house. Small neighborhood is not the place for something like that.

  10. That's brilliant! I wonder how much it costs to run that thing. They'll have Greenpeace protesting outside their house before long!

  11. Very pretty but also sad in a way as some have so much and others so little, which this emphasizes.

Yes I realise that. I just get that feeling. There are people near me that spend a lot of money to do similar light shows, although nothing so spectacular. It was well worth seeing that regardless, b1tchm4gn3t. An awesome display!

I was emailed this video at work the other day. Well worth the time to watch it. Then watch it again. Then watch it again. Then watch it again. Then eat a sandwich.

So are the Christmas lights actually synced to the music or is it (like I figure) a bunch of still pictures of the house lit up in different configurations that are displayed in a sequence and timed to the music track on a computer? Anyone care to speculate? Either way it makes for an impressive video.

I'm sure it wasn't cheap to do, but I know you can get everything there to do it yourself at Fry's Electronics. I've done simple sound, light/laser shows with a PLC computer and also made simple color organs myself back in my high school days. Nothing near this elaborate, but it can be done quite easily. You just need a lot of time, and a bunch of bucks to throw away.

There's a small culdesac nearby (I'll have to get a picture) That goes all out every year. Everyone drives in and out and slows down the traffic of the intersecting street. It sucks because the Speed limit is only 25MPH it the whole area anyway. You friggin ride the brake in idle speed on by the place.
