I burnt some DVD using Nero 6 on a NEC 3520A, but I cannot play them back on that PC. I can play them on another pc or my DVD player. I can play original DVD. It used to work and then suddenly it stopped. Nero disk info tool sees the disk correctly. I suspect some drivers got changed, but how? Is this some copy protection? Only thing I did before it stopped working was Rip some DVD.

Uninstall/reinstall the program you are using to play the disc.

When I put the DVD in the drive, explorer says "CD Drive (D
" and brings up the popup for cd. With a DVD I would get the title of the DVD. I had WinDVD 4 and I uninstalled it. Then explorer recognized the DVD's. I could play them on Windows Media Player, but there was no sound. I reinstalled WinDVD and it is broke again. I installed the trial version of WinDVD 7 and it still didn't work. I uninstalled WinDVD and now it is still broke. I put an DVD that I had burnt couple of weeks ago on the same media, same nero and that still works.
Could this be a coaster. Do coaster work on some players and not on others.
