Yes, and you don't have to rip the DVD again. Use your favorite dvd burning tool and make a dvd copy. If it wont work try another dvd burning tool, https://www.videohelp.com/tools?section=16#16 . And if it doesn't work either test so you can copy the entire DVD±R/W to your hd or test the DVD±R/W with DVDInfopro or Nero CD-DVD speed(you may have a bad DVD±R/W copy).

WHO NEEDS A HEART WHEN A HEART CAN BE BROKEN -
nero, clonedvd, anything really....
and if you don't have these, you CAN rip and burn....the choice is yours....he was just pointing out DVD Copy because it's generally faster and easier since you know the DVD is already small enough to fit on one DVD+/-R -
Hi, I have a very simple question ...
I did several back ups of dvd-r simply using dvd decrypter.
The last one I try to do only left me a folder ISO and a folder MDS but did not have the folder dvd or the lO1
Since I thougth that may be I made a mistake, i did it again and the same thing happened.
¿Does anyone knows what may happened and how do I solve this?
The other method that I tried before was using dvd decrypter in file mode, selecting all the chapters, created a VIDEO_TS and a AUDIO_TS folder and burn them with Nero. Everything went fine, the only problem is that using this method the Pioneer set top dvd players will no play my back ups.
Doing it using only dvd decrypter to download to my hard drive and them burn them using again dvd decrypter worked fine in all set top dvds, but I do not why this time this folders are missing!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Thank you -
I tried using nero to make a backup of a backup, but the movie wont play. I can browse the menus and stuff, but that's just about it. If i select a chapter from the menu it doesn't work either.

Greetings:
I have been searching for a way to copy my mpeg from my DVD to my hard drive for editing purposes. It seems taht I have not been able to find a software taht can do this. This is what I have to confront with:
1). I have the new SONY VC Direct which willtake ones analoge video tape recording( I do our family home movies only) and copy it directly to DVD disk in MPEG format. I did it this way because it saves me time to convert to digital while at the same time working on my computer doing other work.
2). Now after the Tapes have been copied to DVD MPEG format, I would like to copy the video mpeg files to one of my many video editing sofwtare on my hard drive.
3). I have visited this forum in other areas and have been told to use this or that sofwtare and JUST COPY the video file to my HD. Well when I try to follow some of the many suggestions I see Files with VT-BUB, VT you get the picture I am trying to explain. SO now, which one is the Video file for me to copy. Most people ASSUME that I would know, I do not know which one out of all the files is the video files. I have Pennicle 9, Movie Maker, Movie Creator, Nero software to name but a few.
4). All I am looking for a a software taht will: a). Operate with speed and copy my DVD home movies which I have created to my HD without much interaction on my part. I saw this link in your section of the forum
https://www.videohelp.com/tools?section=16#16 and wish to know if you think taht I could find what I am looking for there.
I would appreciate it very much if you were to assist me here in finding a solution to my problem. I really need some one to help me and please if you do have a solution, please do not ASSUME that I know. Please take me step by step through a process as if you were teaching a class to some one step by step. If you say look for the Video file and you know taht when I click a flder I shall see various VT. VT-BUB files, please indicate which ones you are refrring to. If I have to click each one until I find the correct one, then please tell me to do so. In this way there is less frustration.
I hope some one will assist me here.
Thanks to all.

Please post new thread for this subject. I think it is better if you want to have some help. In the sticky thread (which has its own title!) you have very little chances somebody to jump in. -
CloneCD (also clones DVDs) from slysoft works flawlessly for making copies of backups, I used this tool to since my grandkids spilled water or soda on my backups which had lables printed to them with my R200 and the ink ran. Now using my new canon iP4000 UK model from Expansys for printing to printables but I am sure the canon ink will run also.

hi everyone, great website for finding help and tips.i'm a newbei but slowly i am getting the hang of it but some things still keep me guessing witch leads me to my question,i have managed to make backups of all my films and the backups are spot on they play well in my dvd player and quality is great but when i try and backup a backup the burner runs along nicely untill around half way then comes up with error i have tried 1 clickcopy and clonedvd but they both do the same,so is it a error when making the first backup or is it because i am doing something wrong making the second.
Any help would be great...... many thanks.
