    I'm trying to convert mkv to avi but VirtualDubMod won't let me open the mkv file cause it says "Only handle [S_Text/] subs for the moment". I also tried MKVExtract but the problem is when it extract the subtitles, the subtitle file is like screwed up cause inside is just rubbish words. The codec the mkv file is using V_MS/VFW/FOURCC.

    it could be image subtitles and if you want text subs you must convert them using for example subrip.
