I'm trying to convert a wmv file downloaded with flip4mac's wmv player. When I drop the file into ffmpegx- I get the following info for the file- asf/video- wmv2 320X240 1000.00fps stream #0.2 Audio-wmav 22050hz stereo 32kbls. I would like to convert this into any file that quicktime/imovie would understand. Can anyone give exact details on what settings might work? Everything I've tried has led to files not recognized by quicktime. Appreciate the help!

  2. With ffmpegX 0.0.9u, try MOV MPEG-4 with or without "invert mapping" enabled.

Thanks for the suggestion but it does not give me a recognizable file. However, I was able to convert and get a picture using the mpeg4 AVI mencoder setting. Quicktime recognized the conversion and I was able to play the picture as a quicktime movie. The only problem now is that I cannot get any audio to go with the picture. No matter what setting I have tried in the audio box, I still get a silent picture. Given the specs of the original file, can you give me a suggestion on what I can do for the audio problem. Thanks in advance!

  4. Could you please email me the process output (click the blue "i" icon in the progress window) for the mencoder process with this file.
