    I author my DVD's in Tmpgenc Author but i prefer to burn the finished video file in Nero. My question is that when i drag the files into Nero from the Tmpg Enc folder, why does the size of the VOB's decrease from 1,073MB's to 1,023MB's.
    What has happened to the missing 50 MB's?

    The size isn't changing, it's being represented in different units. Remember, there are 1024 bytes in 1 KByte and 1024 KBytes in 1 MByte. That's what you're seeing.

    It's not only that, different programs read the file size differently. Unless it's off a considerable amount, I wouldn't worry about it.
