Basically, a Font and Font Size other than the one I am selecting under Filters is being burned to the AVI. Hoping to get some help ... been running into this problem over and over...

Source file is an AVI file. SRT file is the subtitle file. Target format either XviD or DivX via mencoder.

Load the SRT file under Filters. Burn is checked. Select LiGothic, size 4, Pos 80. Text encoding standard ISO-8859-1.

    Preview looks perfect. Encode.

And...it looks like Arial, size 0.

Any advice/help appreciated. Couldn't find anything on this on the boards, and I really need to have a bigger text size than what's being output. Am using v0.0.9t.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Try to revert to the old binaries http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries230105.zip?download (0.0.9t can use them) to see if it changes anything.

Yep, reverting to the old binaries did it. Thanks major!

  4. Then it is something in the binaries. I'll build new ones soon.

  5. I ran into the same problem this afternoon, but thanks to the forums, using the older binaries did solve my problems. Thanks to you too major, but any idea when is the newer version coming out? ffmpegX is the daily tool for my mac! Best ever!

  6. Could this be the solutions to my prayers?

    Lets give it a try.

Not quite sure what older binaries mean, guess a older version of ffmpeg, but if this has work for you should work for me.

    Best wishes,

    Huifa.

The problem is still there with the binaries for 0.0.9u

Subtitles are Arial size 0, regardless what you choose.
