    Hi,

    I want to convert a MP4 to Mpeg2 or Mpeg3 or Mpeg1 with
ImTOO Encoder but i don't know how to put the settings right.

    to Mpeg1 (fail)
    to Mpeg2 (fail)
Mpeg(super videoCD) 79% conversion than i get a runtime error
    also with Mpeg(Video CD)

My videofile is Mpeg4 format, framerate 12.00 fps, duration 5.59 and bitrate 114 kbps

    Does anyone have suggestions ?
    thnx

    MPEG3?

SVCD is MPEG-2 so there is really no reason why if it can get to 79% that regular MPEG-2 shouldn't either. Sounds like the app is just buggy.

mp4 is just a container and no they aren't all the same. One could contain AVC video the other MPEG-4 part2 for instance.

hi all, I know winavi can support to convert mp4 to Mpeg1, Mpeg2, and SVCD, but I am not sure about the mpeg3. Maybe you can download a free trial version of the program to have a try!

    A couple of ideas:

Use a program like Gspot to tell you exactly what type of file you have.

Does that video happen to be from a digital still camera? If so, it may be a .mov file.

When you find out the type of video, you might look under 'Convert' to the left <<<<< and you should see some guides that may be able to help.

i installed Gspot and the only message was that it is no valid AVI file.

i also installed Winavi ... but when running i receive a warning that the application has detected that 'Quik Time Codec 6.5 or higher' has not been installed or installed incorrectly on my system.

Quik Time without an 'c' ?

so i removed the old Quick Time and installed the latest 7.0 pro version.

But when i try again to run WinAvi i get the same warning and there is no possibility to decode the video.

  8. You may have to install Haali Media Splitter. Use a different encoder like TMPGEnc to encode your file. IamToo encoder is not exactly the best of the lot available.

If you face problem, demux the file to audio & video streams. Encode the video stream to VCD or SVCD compatible elementary streams i.e. M1v or M2V files. Encode the audio separately to MP2 (224Kbps, 44.1 Khz) using BeSweet or any other encoder.

Mux the encoded video & audio streams to MPEG file.
