I started playing it only this weekend on a 30-day trial account and it has become my new addiction in only a few days. It's a space MMO that I seem to recall being interested in when it was released a couple years ago but for some reason it must not have been a huge hit and so I forgot about trying it out back then. I wish I had.

For those who have played Freelancer or even back to the days of EV this is like a hugely-complicated, all-encompassing, MMO version of those. I wouldn't call it an MMORPG since you could play it as an RPG or you could play it as an MMO shooter or adventure game. The graphics are about as good as they were in Freelancer but really don't tax your system so you can play on an older system if you want. One of the more pleasant aspects about it over most other MMOs is it doesn't really favor those who spend tons of time playing it over the average player since skills are learned over time wether you are playing or even when you're offline. The only way you'd fall behind is with getting cash to buy ships and stuff, but if you were keeping up with your skills you can get enough cash to have fun playing in a short amount of time.

To get cash you can run courier missions across solar systems, mine and refine ores, fight pirates, go bounty hunting for players, run your own trading missions between space stations, build ships on comission for other players (or just to sell on your own), or even play the stock market when you get a lot of cash. There is just SOOOO much detail in this game that I had to put the blinders on and just set short-term goals so that I wouldn't get overwhelmed.

If you're a current player or interested in starting up be sure to look me up. I'm playing as a Sebiestor (Minmatar race).
