I've got over 20 DV tapes so I decided to start looking into a storage system for them since my collection will continue to grow. The common storage units that I've found online are pictured below.

The first pic is my least desireable type, although it seems to be the most commonly one found for sale based on my online search. The second pic looks pretty sweet (and my most desireable), but not for $300! I've also seen fabric, zip up " books" that hold tapes, from Case Logic. I'd like something a little more durable to hold my original copies.

Do you remember the cases for cassette tapes in the eighties? They were typically black or brown with a fold up lid. Each tape had it's own slot, with protection from the other tapes. That would be ideal, but I haven't found anything like it for MiniDV tapes. Have you?

What do you use to store your MiniDV tapes? I'm open for suggestions.

    Thank you.

I suspect that after awhile, a shoebox isn't going to cut it anymore.
