Hi all,
I have one I hope the experts maybe be able to assist with.
I have a mpeg2 file about 10 mins long that looks like it started as telcined.
I have checked this file with several frame servers and they all report a
NTSC 29.97 fps file with no repeat flags in the headers.
Gspot even confirms as NTSC 29.97 fps, the problem is every fifth frame shows as containing repeated feilds and playback shows it as jerk or pause. I have managed to decimate by 5 to remove the repeated frame and the end result is a perfect progressive film, now of course the playback is to fast, can anyone suggest a work round for this one, I have tried to reencode at both 29 fps and 23 fps and the end result is perfect picture but too fast. I would like the end result to be a 25 fps clip and hopefully a audio sync to match after I reencode the audio with BeSweet to 25 fps.
Thanks in advance
Levick
