Is their any software out there that will test your DVD-RW laser to see if it is still good? Not sure if my DVD burner bad, or is it media, or is it my dvd player. I just know my dvd player is starting to have alot of trouble reading my dvd-r, before I had no trouble with it. I have cleaned it. So starting to think maybe my dvd burner laster is getting weak and not burning like it should.

You could try Nero CD-DVD Speed and do some tests.
Another all around benchmarking program is SiSandra:
