I tried to rip the vob files of my "Meet John Doe" DVD using SmartRipper and DVD Decrypter. I used VOBDEC and DeCSSplus in both these programs.
Both these programs gave me a message after a number of tries saying "No KEY FOUND".
Anybody have any ideas on how I should go about trying to extract the vob files on this one?

Try to play the movie for a few seconds before you try to rip it and that should solve your problems.

Yes I tried that.
I get the same message saying "No key Found. NO Vulnerable blocks found!" Using both algorithmns, DeCSS and VobDec
