  1. I have searched the net for more information about this program and have found almost nothing, just the rather "odd way"to use avisynth scipts. The background;
    - it gives excellent encoding results and can use avisynth (with a "path copier" to edit TV.avs this is not a serious problem for me).
    - its a "pain in the ass" to set up, example tha program resetts the CBR to 6000 for other changes in the GUI (6000 may not be "my intention")! I am using latest version 1.2 on W2k/SP4.

The program gives me only the oppurtinity to donate, not to report problems
Who is the author and how is it possible to communicate with him/her?

Sounds like a GUI for ffmpeg and avs2yuv. If you don't like the GUI you can always use them without it.

There is a user here named gui4ffmpeg. I'm guessing he's the author, given he wrote this guide on how to use it.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Zappit:

There is a detailled description how to use avisynth with gui4ffmpeg.
Have a look in the manual (?->Help->Advanced options->Increase quality with Avisynth).
Please take care, that the library pathes in the header of the TV.avs
    file matches your avisynth installation.
The problem with the video rate is known. You should change the bitrate
at the end, before you press encode.

  5. Thank You

I have read the manual and understand how to use the program with avisynth. As I wrote its not a problem to edit the TV.avs, only unusual comparing to just importing the avsscript. But since the TV.avs "pops up" it might be rather comfortable and fast when get used to.

The real problem is the "resetting" of cbr and that the program not remember all settings at shutdown.I hope this will be fixed and that the program remembers "my defaults". As I wrote the program gives excellent results and also handles different framerates and audiosources very good.

Ok, in the next version there will be a menu item to edit the TV.avs and
the bug with the cbr should be fixed.
But I can do this only in my holidays, at latest at the end of 2005.

If You are the author I will take the oppurtinity to post some more "wishes".

-possibility to minimize the main GUI during encoding.
-the encoding priority can be set with the taskmanager, but if this could be included in the GUI (and remembered as defaults) it would be nice (compare Quenc).
-batch encoding with avisynth/TV.avs dont work for me and I dont know if it should. Would be a real nice feature!
