  1. I have a tond of DVD's here that are either

    Mcc 003
    MCC 03RG20
    Mcc 004

They are all vertatim blanks. How good is this media at 16x? 12x or 8x?

I want to backup all my movies.

I've burned both the MCC003 and MCC004 at 16x with me NEC 3500 without ever any problems. These are some of the the best 16x disc out there.

Glad to hear they're good discs. I just bought 2 50 spindles at Best Buy on Sunday ($18 a piece, no rebate). They are MCC 03RG20. Sweet!

  9. Like I said already,I use MCC 003 8x DVD+R (Verbatim - Made In Taiwan) and they are perfect,low PIE,PIF and 0 POF
I did buy some MCC 03RG20 16x DVD-R's (Verbatim - Made In Taiwan) and the PIE and PIF were very high, just like your scan shows ffactoryxx.
Thought that my burner didn't support MCC 03RG20 but maybe they are just pure crap MCC discs,I'm not sure.

If you haven't already, you should see if DVD Decrypter is able to make images of a couple of the burns without read retries or I/O errors. Use a different DVD-ROM drive than the burner if you can. If so, you should be OK.
