I want to order dvd cases for my pc games. A lot of pc game publishers are selling the games in cd sleeves which I can't standI want to be able to put them on a shelf.
I was getting ready to order from Merilite but ran across a thread in these forums from back in January saying to avoid Merilite.
So who sells dvd/cd cases that is reliable and cheap? Im looking for cases that hold multiple cd/dvds
thank you

You can buy DVD cases from most of the online stores that sell blank DVDs. I think the previous posts in here about avoiding Meritline were dealing with blank media, not DVD cases. It is possible for the unwary consumer to end up with fake Taiyo or other blank media when buying from some online retailers. I believe Meritline has participated in "misleading" consumers with Ads that infer that a certain type of disk is Taiyo, but if you follow the links all the way and read carefully, it is not.
Buying empty DVD cases is not quite as susceptible to fraud as is buying blank media. Any store should do. -
I use to buy them on-line but the shipping charges seemed too high. I started getting them locally at the monthly computer show in our area. I can now get them for .08 for singles and .11 for dual cases per 100.

If you're looking for a specific type I've had good luck with Shop4tech

try ebay, under movie cases. I have purchased from there 5 times. usually you can get 100pcs for $21.00 which will include shipping. that is not as cheap as the trade shows but I have used two different sellers and never had a problem one seller I have used is "compcdr"

Even cheaper (FREE), I go to Blockbuster, Hollywood Video etc. and ask for their used DVD cases. They throw them out by the hundred quite often. I have about 10,000 plus cases in my garage. It has gotten to the point that I have about 4 - 6 stores along my way home or work that I have spoken with the manager and they will usually call me. Alot of times they have set monthly dates they do this as well.
Just call up your local video store and ask them how often they get rid of their DVD cases that they feel are "inadequate." Out of about 100 you may get about 3 - 6 that the clip holding it shut is broken or the case is majorly or minorly cracked. I have found that the stores where the manager is a lady or there are quite a few ladies working at the store are a bit more helpful. They usually do this at night and the last thing these ladies want to do is get out a dolly, place a box that weighs 50lbs on it and haul it around to the dumpster that is dimly lighted...
I love the cases that they throw away with multiple disc holding capability. PLUS, I usually get tons and tons of XBOX and PS2 game manuals that they throw away as well.
Sometimes they will also throw away dvd's or games that the disc may have a crack in the center ring or outer edge, that the game or movie is perfectly fine, but is just un-sellable or "unrentable" and they will give those to me as well. Hope that helps. YMMV depending on how strict the manager is at your specific store.
