  1. Im having a strange problem with a dvd im trying to author.

I have done this a few times wihtout issue, so this is pretty unusual.

what i have is 9 anime episodes that im putting ona dvd, with selectable audio and subs.

the problem i am having is in the 3 menus i set up to select which episode to watch. i put 4, 10 sec clips on each menu to represent an episode. normally, i would just render the clips and everything would be fine, but this time it always wants to render the entire menu as one video, which messes up the font and effects i have on the text links.

the only thing differnt form what i usually do is that I added an audio track to each of the episode selection menus, to run while going through it. could this be cuasing it to render the entire menu as one video?

i dont see how, but all i want is to have the background image and text links left alone and only render the clips over top of them. is there a setting i need to check to make sure it only does that? thanks.

Are you sure you have done it this way before ? If you render the motion video, it will embed the menu into the video on the way. The only way I can think of doing this is to take all the menu text off, render it with just the videos in place, then put the text on afterwards. Personally, I would have done all this outside DLP, and just imported the finished video to add menus.

Could it be that the audio duration time and video duration time conflict? Try taking the audio off the menu, render everything, then drop the audio back in afterwards.

Whenever you click render motion menu it creates and drops a video in the menu even if it's just for the text. Dvdlab should still be able to add motion buttons to this. (I just tried to test this but my comp hanged on me during the render process. It looked like it was working though.) Check that the "repeat time" of the buttons and the text effects are similar. Could be that too.
