I've been using my iMac flower to import/cut/edit DV and make VCD without any problem. The only thing is the limitation of the harddrive. It's a 20G and I would like to have more room for video edting/storage.
The easiest way is to hook up an external firewire harddrive. But I wonder if the firewire bus can sustain the data transfer rate when I import the movie from my DV thru the 1394 into the external firewire HD? I know there is not much choice for me. Either unassemble the iMac and replace the internal HD or attach an external one. Any clue?
