I have a Pacific DVD-1002 player, with region-free enabled.
Do I need to buy an NTSC compatible tv to view NTSC discs or will it play them fine...i currently have an old tv - hitachi CLE-876B, does anyone know if this is NTSC compatible (doubt it, but I am sure someone can confirm this)?

It depends whether the DVD player has the ability to convert NTSC to PAL. Also most modern TV's will play NTSC anyway, so don't be supprised if it just works.

shows "Multisystem PAL/NTSC Convert" so you shouldn't need an NTSC TV.
