Basically i am in the market for a TBC and I have seen a Fora FA300 in my price range.

Is this a good TBC for use on old tapes that need a bit of stabalising?

Would this do PAL and NTSC format tapes?

Is there any websites that can tell me a lot more about the Fora FA300 TBC?

Hope to hear someones comments soon

The FOR.A FA-300 TBC is NTSC only.
It has composite and S-Video I/O, and processes 8 bit 4:1:1 internally.
It is more transparent than my DataVideo TBC-3000.

It does a nice job of timebase correcting first generation recordings, but it has trouble with recordings that are 2nd generation and beyond.

Not much info that I could find on the web; it's too old, I guess.

Thanks for the information. It saved me from making a costly mistake.

Do you have any suggestions for a tbc that will work for pal and ntsc video and multigeneration tapes?

It depends what you need it for...what do you mean by "a bit of stabalising"?

The DataVideo TBCs are good frame synchronizers.
My TBC-3000 handled the multigen tapes that the FOR-A had trouble with.
I also like the 3000 because it has built in proc amp controls.
The last time I watched one on EBay it closed at $177.50
