  1. I'm having a huge problem with besweet. I think it's a codec problem. I know how to set up the presets to make a pal2ntsc conversion and all that. But when I select to convert to wave-mp3, mp3, wave stereo etc. I'll press convert wav to wav or whatever then it looks like it brings up the besweet command line thing, then it vanishes as soon as it pops up, the log comes up, conversion complete but there's nothing to show for it.

In a nut shell, it isn't converting my audio what do I need to do, or what codecs do I need to get?

I also tried converting wav-2-ac3 with the pal2ntsc thing going on and it converts but the ac3 ends up like 3 hours long and the voices end up playing in slow motion. Any help with that would be great as well.

I have found that when using BeSweet it is best to do the PAL to NTSC conversion with the source being a WAV and the destination being a WAV with the same properties (both 48k or both 44.1k etc.)

If you try to change formats (from WAV to MP3 or MP3 to AC-3 or something like that) then it tends to not work very well.

So if the input is not already a WAV file convert it first to a WAV file. Then do the PAL to NTSC going from WAV to WAV then take the corrected NTSC WAV and convert it to your final format, such as AC-3 or whatever.

I've done a lot of PAL to NTSC and WAV to WAV is the only reliable way to use BeSweet. I should point out that my final target is always DVD so my WAV files are always 16-bit 48k Stereo PCM WAV files.

  4. Who knows why but I can now magically output to wav now. Thankfully. I dunno what was going wrong before.
