  1. I am thinking about getting a DVD player for in my computer for Christmas..... anyone have a reccomendation out there. I keep hearing Pioneer 16x's are pretty good. Also I am considering buying a TV Tuner card, that has the ability to capture video. I currently have a VooDoo 3 3000 AGP card as my video card. I was looking at the ATI TV-Wonder. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd get a Pioneer 106S or a 116 model. Both are great drives and can rip and pretty good speds. plus they have the added benefit of having firmware upgrades that can make them region free. As far as a TV tuner card you can go ahead with the ATI version or shop around a bit more and find a less expensive or lesser known card. ANother optoin is to buy an AIW as an all-around solution.
