    is there a program that will convert mp4 to mpeg 1. I searched the tools and Tmpeg doesnt work even thought it told me it did

    TMPGEnc should in theory work fine since it can accept input via dshow. You just need to have the filters installed. Problem is though that I believe it doesn't work with Haali's splitter (at least not for mkv, so presumably not for mp4). It also doesn't work with recent ffdshow builds. So if you are using haali/ffdshow for playback then I guess it wouldn't work. With other splitter/decoders it might.
