I just got a new 40" LCD television and am wondering which DVD player I should purchase to maximize my viewing experience. I was just going to get a decent progressive scan player but now I see that they have HD converting DVD players. Does this really improve the picture that much or is it just a gimmick? Any suggestions/information on such features and on which player I should get would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.
Price range is up to $300
